Enjoy Today's Sunshine

I read this quote today and I really thought it rang true.

Some people are making such thorough preparation for rainy days that they aren't enjoying today's sunshine.

I'm not saying don't plan ahead. Planning ahead is important.

Just take time to stop and smell the roses, look up at the trees, walk barefoot in the grass, connect with those you love.

Don't waste your life on something that's just not worth it.

Really, it's just a molehill

I'm sure I have blogged about this song before, but I have been thinking about the last verse lately. Seems fitting for some situations going on around us.

There's an enemy
That seeks to kill what it can't control
It twists and turns
Making mountains out of molehills
I will call on the Lord
Who is worthy of praise
I run to him and I am saved.

And what do I do with molehills I find in my yard? I step on them to make them cave in.

It's November

A very busy birthday month for us between friends and family.

I just finished reading all my November posts from the past few years. It's always interesting for me to go back and read journal entries and blogs from years past. It reminds me of so much of what I've gone through, and sometimes encourages me. I see growth in myself, but also that I've got a long way to go before I become who God dreamed me to be so long ago.

I'm glad He is so incredibly patient.
