This morning we got up early and trekked on out to Discount Tire, about a 25 minute drive from our place. We had an appointment to get the tires rotated on both cars, which is a no-charge service they offer.
One hour later, we walked out with five new tires, freshly installed and/or rotated.
It turned out all four tires on Scott's Escape needed replacing, and one of mine was bald.
YIKES!! We spent a lot of money for going in for a free service.
I choose to think that the tire guys were properly motivated and were recommending what we got because of our safety, and not because it's Christmas and they wanted to sell more stuff.
