It's not about me, it's not about me, it's not about me...

I found myself in what I considered an intolerable situation yesterday, and was, as a result, feeling selfish and was in the middle of crying out to God for change, when He made me (yes, made me) listen to this song on my iPod. It's by Passion and it's on a CD called "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever," not sure what volume.

It’s all about You, Jesus
And all this is for You
For Your glory and Your fame
It’s not about me
As if You should do things my way
You alone are God and I surrender
To Your ways

Jesus, lover of my soul
All consuming fire is in Your gaze
Jesus, I want You to know
I will follow You all my days

For no one else in history is like You
And history itself belongs to You
Alpha and Omega, You have loved me
And I will share eternity with You

It’s all about You, Jesus
And all this is for You
For Your glory and Your fame
It’s not about me
As if You should do things my way
You alone are God and I surrender
To Your ways

When will I get it through my thick skull?

if you figure out how to get it through *your* skull, maybe you can help me figure out how to get it through *mine* :)

Cheryl, I love that song. I have a version by Blessed Hope Chapel Praise Team. It's basically just a woman singing accompanied by a guitar and later a violin joins. Very simple. Very powerful. Very convicting.
