The Warrior

Second in Francine Rivers's series of "Sons of Encouragement" is "The Warrior."

It's the story of Caleb, a "man of a different spirit." He was one of the spies that checked out Canaan and said good things about it and how God would give them the land if they trusted and obeyed.

I am really enjoying this story so far. Rivers writes about Caleb from the perspective that he was not a Jew, but was grafted in when the Israelites left Egypt. I love the passion and zeal she made part of his character.

That's actually one thing I love about all of Rivers's characters...they make me want to be a better person.
