To say that "prayer changes things" is not as close to the truth as saying "Prayer changes me and then I change things."

I have been reading this devotional book all year and there are some really valuable lessons that I have learned. Sometimes what Chambers says cuts like a knife and sometimes it's just a refresher for me, an indication that I'm on the right track.
This sentence that I read today just flipped on a switch for me. I have seen bumper stickers and such saying "prayer changes things" since the 80's, but never really thought about it. I like Chambers' idea about it better and I think it's true.
