All I Ever Have To Be, by Amy Grant. This is off a very early album of hers, I believe. I got it from a greatest hits CD or something a few years back.

The whole song flows together so there's no way to just quote part of it. But what it boils down to is that "All I ever have to be is what You've made me."

This is something I have been learning for the past couple years. As we grow in our familes, careers, friendships, there are all these expectations we put on each other. This song reminds me that God made me to be someone special, and all I have to be is that. He loves me just the way He made me. I don't have to do anything. I don't have to make a certain amount of money. I don't have to have an office with a window in a downtown 30 story building. I don't have to have three children and no debt. I just have to be what He made me.

When the weight of all my dreams
