I Hope You Dance

I Hope You Dance, LeAnn Womack, I Hope You Dance

I first heard this song when I saw the video on CMT years ago. In the video, LeAnn is singing to her little girls and that pretty much sealed the idea of these words being advice from a mother to her daughter.

I tend to be more of a wallflower than one to get out there and dance, so I need this advice....

This is verse 2.

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance

I used to play this song for Sarah when I was only hoping that someday she would walk...let alone dance...which she does now in her own sweet way. I really enjoy it.
