Does Anybody Hear Her

Does Anybody Hear Her, by Casting Crowns. I hear this on the radio all the time.

This is the first verse, chorus and the bridge.

She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind

Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even know she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?

If judgement looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we never even met her

Again, good old Cheryl is driving down I-270 with tears running down my face listening to this song. I have been that girl. And I have given many lofty glances down at that girl.

I hope that God will continue to transform me into someone who will hear and see these people that He loves so much through His eyes and not through mine.

I like this song too. I have been in both of those places too--and I hate that! More that I was the one giving the lofty glance than recieving it...
It does remind me not to be a "church person" just God's person and try--as hard as it is--to see people as He does.
